Sports Centre

WELCOME to our Sports Centre at Bassingbourn Village College.  We have lovely facilities that consist of a hall with 4 badminton courts which is also used for volleyball, indoor football, cricket nets and many other activities.  We have the largest Dance Studio in the area with a whole wall of mirrors and we have an Astro turf pitch and prices are very competitive in this area.

The notice board in the Sports Centre is full of sporting activity opportunities for all ages and is accessible from 17.00 – 22.00 Mon – Thur. For anyone who would like to find out more information.

Hire of Main Sports Hall ……………………………36.00 per hour

Setting up and using equipment will be the responsibility of the club/society/hirer and also the putting away afterwards and must be included in the total hire charges. Staff opening up will only arrive at the appointed time of hire.

Main School only

Classroom…..10.00 per hour

Dinning Hall….30.00 per hour

Main Hall……35.00 per hour

Hall + Prom + Servery…40.00 per hour

Set-up hours…£15.00 per hour

Weekend Hire charges for the Sports Hall, Dance Studio and Main School Hall is £40.00 per hour for each area.

Availability is by pre-booking on 01763 242344  and payment in advance by cheque or cash.  Booking is between the hours of 7.30am and 3pm each week day.  Please note that we are unable to take bookings for under 18s unless they are accompanied by an adult, and for school holiday hire of courts, you will need to pre-book before the holidays begin to ensure a space is available.

To secure your reservation or to book a court, please contact Lathan Harris between the hours of 7.30am and 3pm weekdays only, on 01763 242344 ext 225.  Please note that if you wish to book during school holiday periods, this must be done before the holidays begin as we cannot guarantee that staff will be available to answer the telephone.

AWAY TEAMS – please note that the post code SG8 5NJ will automatically take you to South End entrance but you need to access the Sports centre from Brook Road car park.  Park in the large car park and walk 100 yards in a southerly direction to the Sports centre.

FOOTWEAR – we have a policy that requires players to change their footwear once inside the Sports centre, by doing this you are ensuring that all users of the facilities can play their sport on a dust and dirt free surface.
